Our apartment in Sceaux

Here are some pictures in random order of our apartment. It is a long downhill walk into our apartment complex and building....and a long, long walk uphill to get out of it! We do have an underground parking lot, but we have no car. I didn't include many pictures of the kitchen...we have yet to receive our cupboards for storage. As of right now, we have a refrigerator, stove/oven combination, a washing machine and sink.
We managed to put an American king size bed in our bedroom...but we don't have any extra room to spare. In our guest room, we have a desk, and a daybed with a trundle underneath. One of our favorite parts of the apartment is our balcony. We were happy to get our balcony furniture and we love sitting outside.

Life in Sceaux

You'll have to excuse the disorderly way the pictures are arranged...sorry! I'm new at this. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the market from our apartment. Actually, more for me, because I have to stop occasionally and catch my breath...it's uphill all the way to the market! It is a pedestrian market that has a selection of quaint shops including cheese shops, butchers, florists, bakeries, candy stores, toy stores, cafes, and vegetable markets.

This is my favorite cheese shop. The girl who works there is very helpful and even tries to speak English.

This is my favorite vegetable market. They have a great selection of fruits and vegetables, and I was also able to purchase pasta, cashews, and raisins.
